The Hot Dust
David Soto
Founder, Dark Forge Miniatures
I paint grimdark minis in the hours between work and kids, then I write the recipe down so you can too. Army veteran. Busy dad. The voice behind The Hot Dust.
Dark Forge Miniatures is the shop floor for that habit — STLs, prints off the farm, and the notes that get a model on the table without a forty-hour week. Paint Fast. Paint Dark. Paint Yours.
The farm
Basement printers, tabletop results
The kits on this site come off a small FDM farm at home — Bambu Lab P1S machines running PLA+, with resin sculpts handed off when a miniature needs that first crisp pass. I design for support-light printing because I paint what I print, and I do not have a spare Saturday to clean a forest of trees.
World Eaters is the army that taught me to finish models instead of collecting grey plastic. The Hot Dust is the channel where I talk like a dad who still wants the army to look mean. Dark Forge is where those files and recipes live so they are searchable, not buried in a comment thread.
If you are here from a search, you want a name behind the shop. That is me. David Soto. The Hot Dust. Sotoverse Forgeworks is the house that holds this store and the tools around it.
